18th Cent Oak 8 Day Longcase Clock

Description

An attractive 18th Cent oak longcase clock of nice small size. It has a slim decoratively carved trunk door (carving possibly later).

It has a nice quality five pillar 8 day movement that strikes the hours on a coiled gong. It has an attractive brass dial with silvered chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator.

The case is in good condition. The clock runs but is not consistent and could probably do with a good service.

The maximum dimensions are:

207cm (81.5") high

48cm (19") wide

25cm (10") deep
