Fine Quality French Boulle Mantel Clock

19th century
Description

Fine quality 19th century French Boulle mantel clock with 8 day striking movement. Nice brass and red tortoiseshell marquetry "Boulle" case with gilded mounts, feet and top finial. The clock has a very pleasing dial with ceramic numbers and original steel hands. The case is in very good condition with no damage or repairs that I can see. Slight looseness to a couple of bits of brass can be easily rectified. The clock retains its original decorative brass pendulum.

The nice thing about this one is it has not been completely over-cleaned as many of these have and does still have good patination to the gilded mounts.

Full working order. Comes with winding key.
