Description

A gents WW1 silver Electa trench watch, 1914.

The watch has a good quality 17-jewel hand-winding movement by Electa which is working nicely and the time keeping is good to within around five minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 35.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the screw-on case back (another good sign of quality) for Birmingham 1914, with a maker's mark for Aaron Dennison, a prolific maker of watch cases for various watch manufacturers. The case is in good condition for such an early piece, just a little bit of an indentation to the back and a 5mm scratch but nothing too detrimental at all.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The black enamel dial is in good condition. The luminous paint has been removed from the numbers and the hands.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
