The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.4mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marks from use but overall it is in nice condition. The front cover has a small lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals. some of the infill is missing although hardly noticeable to the naked eye.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside the glass lens is in nice condition.
The white enamel dial has a faint hairline crack between 7 & 8 o'clock although it can only be seen through a jeweller loupe. Note the special hour hand for half hunter watches, so that the hands can be distinguished between when the front cover is closed.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
