A Pretty and Small English Wall Clock

Description

Watson, London: a pretty mid-19th century fusee WALL CLOCK of small size and in perfect working order.

The eight-day chain-driven fusee movement retains its original enamel-painted 10-inch dial; blued steel hands and pendulum whilst the case is of mahogany with a curved lower access door and cast brass bezel. Behind the dial is an inscription relating to the maker, Watson. 12.5ins wide overall; the dial 10ins diameter; 6ins deep. (32 x 25.5 x 15cms)

***In the book "Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World" by Loomes, Watson is recorded working at 25 North Audley St., London circa 1859.
