For sale a good WW1 silver cased Borgel design trench watch, circa 1916. This is the larger cased version at 35mm excluding the winding stem and crown and is pin set. The Borgel design was thought to offer the movement greater protection from dirt and water because you can only access the movement via a screw in thread connected to the dial and movement. The silver case is in excellent condition as is the front screw in section. The movement is in excellent fully working condition keeping good time. The enamel dial has some very shallow edge flakes around 9 o''clock and a couple of very faint hairlines, difficult to see with the naked eye but are shown in the pics, taken with a high res lens.
