Geo III Oak Cottage Longcase Clock

18th century
Description

A pretty little oak and mahogany Longcase Clock. It is by an Axminster (Devon) maker but the makers name is faded.

It has a 30hr movement that strikes the hours on a bell. The painted dial is most attractive and it has nice cut steel hands.

The movement is complete and running but could probably do with a service. The Oak case has mahogany cross banding and apart from the shrinkage crack to the base is in pretty good condition.

The maximum dimensions are:

196cm (77") high

48cm (19") wide

26cm (10") deep

The dial is 11" square.

National and international delivery arranged at cost.
