1929 Silver Record Dreadnought Hunter Pocket Watch

1929 silver Record Dreadnought full hunter pocket watch originally retailed by Harris Stone of Leeds.

The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement, with whiplash regulator, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the three covers for Birmingham 1929 together with the case maker's mark for Aaron Dennison of the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific case maker who supplied various watch manufacturers. The case is in good, just a little unevenness to the case back. The engine turned detail is still nice and crisp and there is a central vacant cartouche.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.

The signed white enamel dial is in good condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a silver single albert, 33cm long including the T-bar and the clasp, and a silver cycling medal from the Kentish Wheelers, awarded in 1936. The weight of the albert and the fob is 40.2g.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
