Mahogany Pad Top Bracket Clock

Description

A classic early 19th Century bracket clock. The pad top case has a brass carrying handle, brass fishscale fret sides and front panels. The brass bezel has a convex glass. The painted white enamel dial is signed "Joseph Thwaite, London".

The 8 day movement twin fusee movement has five pillars, and an engraved backplate and strikes the hours on a bell, with a pull repeat cord. It has a strike /silent lever above the XII c.1820
