Convex Dial Clock

19th century
Description

Fine mahogany cased circular dial clock. Having a 12" convex painted dial a cast brass bezel and a convex glass. The eight day pendulum fusee movement has shaped plates. The fine turned surround has a convex profile the pegged case has a side door and cock beaded bottom door.

Made by Hart of Canterbury

c. 1840

There is a Hart listed in Canterbury in 1752-62, this presumably was his Father

diameter 13.75" x depth 6"
