Brass Carriage Clock with Fancy Dial (France, C. 1890)

Description

A late 19th Century French brass carriage clock. The corniche case has a shaped top handle, an oval top glass and bevel glass sides. The ivorine enamel dial has Arabic numerals and a fancy engraved gilt brass dial mask. It has an 8 day movement with a lever platform. It has an 8 day movement with a lever platform. The clock backplate has the manufacturers logo for Couaillet family of Saint-Nicholas-d'Aliermont.

Current Condition

The case has been polished and lacquered so it will not tarnish, the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
