Oak Drop Dial Wall Clock (England, C. 1860)

Description

A solid oak drop dial wall clock dating to the mid 19th Century. It has a 12 inch dial, with a sectioned outer rim, and a drop section with a Gothic tracery design. The enamel dial has nicely designed matching hands and is signed by the makers Whitmore & Sons of Northampton. It has an 8 day fusee movement with stopwork to prevent overwinding. John and his Son are listed as working in 1864

Current Condition

The case has been repolished and the movement fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
