Description

A gents 1940s Leonidas chronograph wrist watch.

The watch has a Landeron 48 hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch itself measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the buttons. The case is plated with a stainless steel case back. There is wear and marking to the plate commensurate with the age of the watch.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in good original condition, nicely aged with just a little darkening commensurate with its age. The infill has been removed from the hands.

The chronograph function is operated by pressing the top button to start, the bottom button to stop and then again to re-set… the chrono hand re-sets just to the right of zero.

A later leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
