The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed A.W.W.Co, Waltham, U.S.A. Traveler and the serial number of 26229468 which dates it back to 1927. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Casre Company. The case has faint surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition. The inner case backs have a couple of light surface scratches. The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.
Inside, there is a glass lens which is in nice condition.
The white enamel dial is signed Waltham U.S.A. and is in nice condition. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
