The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Vertex, 15 jewels, Swiss made.

The watch itself measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the three covers for Birmingham 1949 with the case makers mark for the Dennison watch Case Co. The case is also stamped Vertex. The case is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark from use. The front cover has a small lens surrounded by blue enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover which has a glass inner lens which is in good condition. The outer lens is acrylic and is in nice condition
The white enamel dial is signed Vertex and is in nice condition. Blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand, a subsidiary seconds dial outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
