The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a good quality Cyma movement, calibre 999, which is working nicely.
..

“Presented by ‘Daily Record’ to runners up Glasgow Fair Week Pairs Bowling Competition at Millport, July 1934, Jas Campbell”.
The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made in England by the Dennison Watch Company, a prolific manufacturer of cases which were subsequently sold to various watch companies. The case has a fairly shallow “ding” to the front but otherwise is in good condition with just light surface marks from use.

The winding stem pushes in to open the front cover. The acrylic lens is in good condition… often the original glasses lenses were replaced with acrylic if they broke as it is a much more durable material.

The dial is signed Hendersons, the original Glasgow based retailer of the watch. The dial is enamel and there are some very faint hairlines which are really only visible through a magnifying loupe. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
