Charming late 19th century Petit 12in or 30.5cm High Oak Cased Bracket or Mantel Clock by Camerer Kuss with a quality 8 Day clock by the highly regarded German Clockmaker Winterhalder & Hoffmeier that Strikes the Hours and Half.

The Silvered Chapter Ring is makerd Camerer Kuss & Co, 56 New Oxford Street W1 on a Gilt brass Dial with Fast/Slow Dial.

Offered in Full and Good Antique working Condition having been checked and tested.

It is believed that the company was started in 1730 when Joseph Kammerer introduced Cuckoo Clocks to the Black Forest area. In 1788 Camerer Kuss set up in the UK and in 1868 became Camerer Kuss & Co who were Clockmakers in their own right and imported quality movements from Germany. With the onset of the 1st World War the K of Kuss was changed to a C.
