An antique Waltham full hunter pocket watch & chain.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 625, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 116981064 dates it back to 1908. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company (Aaron Dennison had a close association with Waltham). The case has light surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition. The inner hinged cover has a later presentation Presented to S Gaunt Esq by his colleagues. Irwell Valley Water Works. on competion of 50 years service 1944. The pretation was possibly on an earlier watch because watches were short of supply during the war.

The winding crow pushes in to release the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.

The signed white enamel dial is in nice condition.

The watch has its original Blued steel hands.

The watch comes on a vintage rolled gold double albert chain. Each of the longer chains measure 22 cm including the T bar and clasps.

The chain has light wear to the clasps from use but overall it is in nice condition.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
