Description

An antique silver Waltham pocket watch, 1887.

The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Waltham name and the serial number 3,520,854 dates it back to December 1887 to November 1888. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1887 with a maker’s mark for Alfred Bedford, the manager of the London branch of Waltham. The front of the case is in good condition while the case back has some bruising and “dings”.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has three hairline cracks although fairly faint.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
