Geo III Oak 8 Day Longcase Clock

Description

A lovely all original longcase clock of nice small size. It is by William Ray of Sudbury, Suffolk. He is listed as working there in the second half of the 18th Cent.

The case is in oak, it is in good unrestored condition, has retained its original finish and is a lovely colour.

The 5 pillar, 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a most attractive brass and silvered dial. It has a subsidiary seconds dial and working date indicator.

The movement and dial are in excellent condition, the movement has been serviced and the dial restored. All the functions are working and it is keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

48cm (19“) wide

25cm (10“) deep
