The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a most attractive 1st Period Wilson Dial (signed on the false plate). James Wilson is regarded as one of the finest dial maker of the period. It has an unusual centre date hand and moon phase indicator to the arch

The case is in good unrestored condition but does have a couple of minor chips to the top of the trunk door. The trunk door has its original lock and key. The movement looks to have been recently services, is in excellent working condition and keeping good time.
