An antique Waltham full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 620, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 17613441 dates it back to 1909. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.3mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 10ct gold filled and was made in England by the Dennison Watch Case Company… Aaron Dennison had a close association with Waltham before emigrating to the UK from the US. The case was originally ‘guaranteed to wear 20 years’. There is an indentation next to the hinge at the bottom of the watch, and also some wear to the plate around the hinge.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens. It is very common for the original glass lenses to be replaced and we see this often… it is difficult to tell the difference as they look so similar but they are a lot more durable.

The signed white enamel dial is in beautiful condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
