A 1920s Minerva half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement with 17 jewels and four adjustments, jewelled pallets and whiplash regulator, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.3mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was originally guaranteed to wear 20 years. The case has light surface marks from use but overall it is in nice condition. The front cover has a small lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals. some of the infill is missing although hardly noticeable to the naked eye.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside the glass lens is in nice condition.

The white enamel dial has a faint hairline crack between 10 o'clock and the sub seconds dial although it can only be seen through a jeweller loupe. Note the special hour hand for half hunter watches, so that the hands can be distinguished between when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
