Antique Tacy Half Hunter Pocket Watch & Chain

An antique Tacy half hunter pocket watch with double albert and fob.

The name Tacy was the result of a collaboration between TAvannes and CYma, hence the name.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The half hunter case is gold filled and was made by the American Watch Case Company. It was normal for the case and the movement to be made by two different factories. The case has some surface marks, and three shallow “dings” to the back.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition. The original glass lenses were often replaced with acrylic as it is so much more durable.

The white dial is in good condition, just one short hairline between 4 and 5. Note the special half hunter hands to that the hands can be distinguished between when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes with a double albert, with each chain measuring 23.5cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. There is also a handsome swivel fob.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
