Description

A 1920 Waltham pocket watch with chain.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 225, which is working nicely. This was a popular movement which was produced between 1903 and 1934. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 23,609,772 dates it back to 1920.

The watch itself measures 44mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop so smaller than the standard sized 50mm diameter. The case is gold filled and was made in Canada by the American Watch Case Company. The case has initials to the back and a nicely detailed bezel and case back edging.

The watch glass has a light 3mm scratch, not too noticeable at all.

The signed dial looks good to the naked eye. Through a magnifying loupe, three short faint hairline cracks can be seen. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a 38cm chain which is of ideal proportions for the watch.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
