Exceptional Quality Regulator Longcase Clock by Edward Scales, Manchester

Description

Exceptional quality longcase regulator clock by Edward Scales of Manchester.

Wonderful flame mahogany case with intricate fretwork detail to the glazed door.

Silvered dial, 6mm movement plates, 16 leaf pinions throughout , jewelled pallets and oil sink covers with endshake adjustment screws front and back.

Dead beat escapement with maintain power and six spoke wheels.

The movement also bears the makers stamp.

This superb clock needs to be seen to be fully appreciated as it is not done justice by the photographs.
