Late 18th Century Oak Longcase Clock (England, C. 1785)

Description

A very original Sussex made country longcase clock. The solid oak case has a dental top molding, turned side pillars and a long door. The brass dial has corner spandrels, a silvered chapter ring and a silvered centre, engraved with the makers name Robert Burford, of Arundel. It has a 30 hour chain driven movement that sounds the hours on a bell. Robert Burford is listed as a maker 1784-95

Current Condition

The case is in good original condition with minor repairs, the dial has been restored and the movement fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months. If yu would like a video clip of this cllock striking please email us.
