Gents 1940s Paul Buhré Wrist Watch

Description

A gents 1940s Paul Buhré wrist watch originally retailed by The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd.

Paul Buhré, the watch company, was originally established in St Petersberg in the 1870s, and they purchased a large watch manufacturing factory in Le Locle in Switzerland. In 1899, the company was awarded the title of "The Official Supplier of the Imperial Court."

This particular watch has a good quality signed Swiss hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch itself measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and is in super condition. The screw-on case back has a 1949 long service inscription.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in original condition with original hands (the infill has come out of the hands), a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
