A Gents 1953 Longines Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1953 Longines wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, 12.68ZS, which is working nicely. The movement is signed and the serial number of 8,978,067 dates it back to 1953.

The watch itself measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs, so a good size for a watch from this era. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition with just the odd minor mark. The inside of the case back has the Longines logo. The winding crown is probably a later replacement as it is not signed.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has faceted markers, original hands and centre seconds hand (with a little marking).

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
