Large French Repeating Carriage Clock

Description

A good late 19th century French CARRIAGE CLOCK in perfect working order.

The case is of substantial "Corinthian Column" design, with cast hinged handle, whilst the 8-day movement strikes hours and half-hours on a gong. It repeats hours at will, via the button to the top, and retains its original lever platform escapement. The enamel dial is perfect and is signed for the retailers, Hardy Bros, of Sydney (Australia). 6.5ins high (handle down); 4ins wide; 3.5ins deep. (15 x 10 x 9cms).
