Description

A very unusaul, small, country made longcase clock, in a solid cherrywood case with a regulator dial. The traditional Sussex style case has a flat top, turned side pillars and a long door, but again is very unusual as it is a solid cherrywood case. The engraved silvered dial has an outer minute dial and a subsidiary hour dial.and is signed by the maker Wakeford of Seaford. It has a traditional 30 hour rope driven birdcage movement that strikes the hours on a bell.
