A 1950s Parker curvex wrist watch, boxed.

The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Parker Watch Co.

The Parker Watch Co was registered on 1st January 1927 under the name of Saul Parker, in New York City. Saul was the son of Louis Parker (Bercovici-Parkewitz) who had been a partner in the Etna Watch Co. with his brother in law Harry Friedman.

The watch measures 20mm wide excluding the winding crown and 34mm high excluding the lugs... it would suit a man with a slim wrist, or it would work nicely as a lady's watch. The curvex case is 10ct rolled gold with a stainless steel case back. The case is in good condition, just minor surface marking, but overall very acceptable indeed for a 1950s piece.

The curved lens has some marking if you look very closely.

The signed dial has a little marking but nothing serious.

The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from a Newcastle jeweller.
