19th Cent Twin Fusee Bracket Clock

19th century
Description

A most attractive mahogany bracket clock dating from the mid 19th Cent. It is by Kleyser and Co of Borough High Street, London.

It has a very well carved case in beautifully figured mahogany.

The 8 day, twin fusee movement, strikes the hours on a coiled steel gong (possibly converted from a bell).

The case is in good condition but does have some veneer chips to the back and a very fine shrinkage crack to the top. The movement is in good working order and keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

44cm (17.5”) high

30cm (12”) wide

17cm (6.5”)
