The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch has a high grade stem-winding movement, grade 621, with a Church 1892 Starwheel regulator.
The watch was specially made as a private label piece for Prestons Ltd, a retailer based in Bolton, Lancashire. The movement is fully signed and it also has the serial number 22,324,195 which confirms the date as 1918. The movement has handsomely damascened plates. The movement is working nicely and it is protected by an inner hinged cover (there is a scratch across this inner cover).

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is a good quality 10ct gold plated model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, the founder of which had close associations with Waltham. The case is in good condition with just light surface marks from use over the years.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in beautiful condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
