Edwardian Austrian Carriage Travelling Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

An unusual Austrian cased hanging travelling clock

set within a bell shaped gilt metal case with athenian border, encased floral embroidered decoration and highlighted with pale blue enamelled borders. Enclosing a silvered dial with Arabic numbers before a Swiss movement. All set on an embroidered strap with scrolling ormolu mounts decorated with enamelled badges. 26 cm high

Condition

Good, except the embroidery panel to the front has had some damage to the silk and requires rebacking to stabilise it, ( I will carry out this work prior to delivery ) the clock winds and works, although probably needs a service.
