Fine French 8-Day Ormolu Mantle Clock

Description

A most attractive and particularly fine quality mid-19th century French ormolu MANTLE CLOCK in excellent condition and retaining its original bright gilding.

The rococo case features a 'leaf' finial; and scrolled feet whilst the eight-day movement strikes hours and half-hours on a bell. It retains its original silk suspension; count wheel striking, and blued steel "Breguet" hands. A fine and attractive clock in perfect working order. 12ins high; 8ins wide; 4ins deep (30.5 x 20 x 10cms)
