A Super 1930s High Grade Denco Pocket Watch

A 1930s high grade Denco pocket watch in superb condition.

The watch has a high grade Swiss 17 jewel stem-winding movement with a generous five adjustments, jewelled pallets and a micro regulator, and it is working nicely. The movement is signed Denco Watch Co. Denco was one of the brand names used by Dennison for their own brand of watches. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover upon which is engraved a presentation inscription dated 1938.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company... Aaron Lufkin Dennison pioneered watchmaking in America before moving to England in 1862 to set up a watch case factory in the Handsworth area of Birmingham. This particular case is in lovely condition and the engine turned detail to the back is still nice and crisp.

The watch glass is in super condition.

The signed white enamel dial is in very nice condition too, with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
