An Early 20th Century “The Angus” Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

An early 20th Century “The Angus” pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed “The Angus”.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the Moon model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, this was one of their better quality models which was originally guaranteed to wear 20 years. It also has a screw-on bezel and case back, a nice sign of quality. There are three “dings” to the case back but other than that the case is in good condition.

The later acrylic lens is in good condition.

The white enamel dial is in good condition.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
