The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement with 15 jewels which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover. There is engraving on the hinged cover, ‘from MS to SS’ but this has been partly scratched out.
The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made in England by the Dennison Watch Case Company.
This particular case has a couple of areas of rubbing, just from repeated use over the years, and a few small marks and indentations, all commensurate with the age of the piece.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens. It is very common for the original glass lenses to be replaced and we see this often… it is difficult to tell the difference as they look so similar but they are a lot more durable.
The signed white enamel dial is in good condition. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
