The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 618, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 15730776 dates it back to 1907. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
It is the Moon model of case which is 10ct gold plated and was originally ‘guaranteed to wear 20 years’. There is minor marking to the case, and a little gentle unevenness to the case back but overall the condition is good for a piece that is over 100 years old. The back of the watch has the engraved initials JC or CJ.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens. It is very common for the original glass lenses to be replaced and we see this often… it is difficult to tell the difference as they look so similar but they are a lot more durable.
The white enamel dial is in beautiful condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
