The clock has an eight inch painted dish dial with the makers name:-

The movement is a five pillar eight day twin fusee with top pendulum adjustment and hold fast which strikes the hours on a bell. The movement and pendulum bob are decoratively engraved and the back plate is engraved with the makers name.
John Ham was born in 1766, he was a watch and clock maker who is registered at working at number 48 Skinner Street. In 1829 John's son Thomas became his apprentice at the age of 14.
The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced.
