The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is signed Elgin Nat'l Watch Co, U.S.A, seven jewels and it has the serial number 22743944 which dates it back to 1920.
The watch measures 50.3 mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop . The gold filled case was made by the American watch case company and is the Fortune model.

The plastic lens is in nice condition.
The dial is enamel and it is signed Elgin, U.S.A. The dial has a faint hairline crack between 10 & 11 o'clock although not noticeable to the naked eye but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
