1930s Bravingtons Renown Full Hunter Pocket Watch

A 1930s Bravingtons Renown full hunter pocket watch.

Bravingtons were major inter war jewellers and goldsmiths and they had several branches across London. They sold Swiss watches under their name with Renown watches being their most successful range. They also sold many of the de-commissioned military watches to civilians.

This particular watch has a Swiss 16-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures just a fraction under 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case case was made in England by the Dennison Watch Case Company and it is 10ct gold plated, originally “guaranteed to wear 20 years”. The case is in good condition, just a couple of small “dings” and some light surface marking but overall very acceptable for a 1930s piece.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. The watch glass is in lovely condition.

The white enamel dial is in super condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
