Antique Waltham Traveler Hunter Pocket Watch, 1903

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Waltham Traveler full hunter pocket watch, 1903.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 12,612,326 dates it back to 1903. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the Illinois Watch Case Company. It was originally “guaranteed to wear 10 years” and it is still in good condition with just some surface rubbing to the edge of the outer covers.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens. It is very common for the original glass lenses to be replaced and we see this often… it is difficult to tell the difference as they look so similar but they are a lot more durable.

The white enamel dial is in beautiful condition.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
