Connell of London Carriage Clock

19th century
Description

A fine carriage clock in a satin gilt 'Gorge' case. The clock is in very original condition with a white enamel dial showing Roman numerals with the retailers name and address. A large top glass to view the original Bi-metallic balance and silvered platform escapement, push repeat and striking on the hour and half hour on a gong. The movement is completely original, serviced and sold with a full 12 month guarantee. The movement bears the stamp of E.G. Lamaille a very good clock maker. Circa 1880-90.
