Its About Time has dated this piece to the 1860s.
The clock strikes the hours and half hours on an early small gong and has the alarm facility. The large top glass shows the original, typical Drocourt escapement with push repeat button to the edge. The movement has been fully dismantled and overhauled and is functioning beautifully. The clock benefits from having the inner and outer stamps of Drocourt which can be seen in the more detailed pictures. No 8019. Circa 1860.
