The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Rotary wings logo.
The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1946 with a maker’s mark for Moise, George & Sylvain Dreyfuss… Moise Dreyfuss was the founder of Rotary. The case has an indentation to the back and the odd minor mark but overall is very acceptable for such an early piece.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial has a really charming appearance with cross hair detail, feuille shaped hands, and an outer minute track. There is a little marking but very respectable for a 1940s piece.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a vintage Rotary presentation box with a shagreen effect to the outside. The inside has some marking.
