Rare Smiths 15 Jewel Deluxe Everest Watch A409 Circa 1953

1940 - 1960
Description

For sale is this very fine and rare Smiths 15 jewel deluxe Everest watch, model A409 dating to 1953/4. The complete watch looks as though it’s been hardly ever worn, the case retains 99% of its original chrome plate. The dial has only gently aged down and it looks fantastic. The waterproof case back is marked Dennison Aquatite which is correct for this version, it also retains its original and correct movement cage. The watch is completely original though out and keeps excellent time. The Smiths Everest and Antarctic versions are becoming very difficult to find, and in this condition probably a one off.
