Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The mahogany case is beautifully polished with a rich, deep patina. It has generous boxwood stringed inlay with turned pillars to the trunk and corinthian capitals . It has a cathedral arched door.
The arched painted dial has a subsidiary seconds dial and separate date aperture. There is a picture of a man shooting with his springer spaniels to the lunet.
A very smart clock that is very competitively priced.
