Antique Silver Chain with a Fantastic Cricket Fob

1920 - 1940
Description

An antique silver chain with a fantastic cricket fob.

The chain measures 33cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The T-bar, clasp and each of the links have hallmarks, the letters are difficult to read but we would place it at the turn of the Century.

The chain comes with one of the best cricket fobs we have ever seen. It measures 4cm high and 3cm wide. It has a detailed image of a bowler with two bats forming an arch above him. The back of the fob is engraved and it was awarded to Jack Harris by HG&S Sports Club as a Special Bowling Prize for a hat trick. The medal was awarded in 1933.

Total weight 52.1g.
